Dawn performed an energy session on Hershey to look into his cracking hooves and arthritis. Interestingly enough, she found that he was dealing with emotions picked up from a family member and was having trouble sorting them out. Even though Hershey has been with me for nearly 20 years, he's always been somewhat aloof and at times, a little despondent. I asked Dawn to do an energy session on my mare, McCoy because she was covered in insect bites, which appeared as small bumps, after we came home from a family vacation last month. During the session, Dawn picked up on several things, one being a traumatic experience when McCoy was a young horse (before I purchased her). I’ve long suspected that something negative had taken place in McCoy’s past because of her general unhappiness under saddle, even in light work. Within about three or four days, the bumps over McCoy’s entire mid-section completely disappeared, and they haven’t returned. I haven’t ridden McCoy since the session (I don’t ride much anyways these days), but I look forward to seeing if she seems any happier under saddle. Her attitude, in general, does seem improved. Dartarian started showing signs of imbalance with his stomach (throwing up blood), lack of general playfulness, and looking like he did not feel well following a trip to the groomer. (He is a Yorkshire/Terrier mix.) I started to get concerned with what I was observing and decided to contact Dawn to see if she could do a long-distance session on him to see what was going on. She picked up several emotional distresses and did a Reiki treatment on him (long-distance). Since that session, he has shown marked improvement and is playing and acting like he is feeling better and has returned to the sweet dog that he is. Dartarian is an adopted dog and I am sure he has experienced stress from that as well as the stress of being groomed. I am thankful that Dawn was able to help him.
